Quick usage instructions.

To use FCRS you need to create a bootable floppy or cdrom.

To create a bootable floppy on the Linux server: Open up a terminal and type
sudo /opt/fair/bin/makefloppy.sh
To create a bootable cdrom on the Linux server: The cdrom iso image is located in /opt/fair/lib/fcrscd.iso. Burn it with your favorite cd buring tool. For example k3b.

To create the bootable floppy on Windows: Download the floppy image and use RAWRITE to write it.
To create the bootable cdrom on Windows: Download the cdrom image and use your preferred cd burning tool.

Now start the FCRS gui on the server by clicking on the fcrs-icon on the desktop.

Insert the floppy/cdrom in a computer, attach Power, NULLMODEM, keyboard, and VGA cables and power up the computer. After some time wiping should start and the server is notified. Repeat until out of serial ports. When the wiping and/or installation is finished the comport is ready for re-use.

Setting up a printer. Visit this URL from a browser on the server: http://localhost:631. Select your printer and save. Enable printing of hardware inventory reports in the FCRS setup.
